Incredible and little-known place! Lots of space — we went there twice (including one long weekend) and only encountered one other group each time. Managed by the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association. Annual membership is $30, otherwise camping is free. Near the Clearwater River. Hiking/biking/equestrian trails nearby. Plenty of room for large vehicles, toys, horses, etc. Also very suitable for tents. Super clean and well-maintained. Two ways to get there: from the east/Caroline area, rougher roads with many tight turns — prefer access from the west for large vehicles.
