Camping at Lake Louise -- Improvement District No. 9, Alberta
Lake Louise isn't an incorporated municipality: the village's streets and public places remain under direct federal jurisdiction (Parks Canada), since the local district (Improvement District No. 9) has no authority over parking or camping. Camping — including sleeping in a vehicle — is banned everywhere there, except at a designated campground with a valid permit.

Description
Site obtained in the RV section of this busy campground for $32, electricity included ($27 without service). Fire permit for $8. No tents allowed at this time of year. Not the quietest campground, located near the highway and right next to the railway — the train passes every few hours and honks loudly while crossing. Clean restrooms with flush toilets, showers also available. Dump station and drinking water on site.
