Description

The Mackenzie Crossroads Museum and Visitor Centre aims to showcase the history and development of the area since 1900 through a collection of artifacts. The main exhibit, the "Northern Trading Post," features over 1,600 containers of food and medicine donated by local residents, set in a typical trading post/general store environment with attached living quarters. Other exhibits focus on agriculture, trapping, and the Indigenous peoples of the region, as well as a collection of historical regional photographs. It also houses a "Little Free Library" in an old telephone booth — take a book for the road, or donate one in return!
