Description
Former military airfield from the Cold War converted into an off-grid ecotourism site in Haute-Mauricie near the hamlet of Casey. Visitors can camp in a prospector tent on a wooden platform, in a heated dome, or in wild camping/under the wing of an airplane, around a community pavilion powered by solar panels. The site is accessible year-round by plane, by train, or via Forest Road 25 (about 150 km without cellular network from La Tuque).
