Description
Municipal campground managed by the city of Winterton, set around the Outside Pond, on the Avalon Peninsula. It has about a hundred sites with water and electricity, two dumping stations, showers, a laundry, and wifi. Two hiking trails lead to viewpoints over the bay, one of which is suitable for whale watching, in addition to a trail that circles the pond for swimming and kayaking. Open from May 16 to September 10, for both transient campers and seasonal visitors.
