Description
The oldest state park in Maine, around Mount Quaggy Jo. Echo Lake fed by a spring: swimming, trout fishing, and canoe rentals in summer; cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Resident camping $15-25/night, non-resident $25-35 (some sites with water and electricity). Note: camping will reopen in primitive mode for 2026 (reduced facilities) according to the Bureau of Parks and Lands.
