Description
Soup Creek Campground is a rustic campground located in the heart of the Swan River State Forest in northwestern Montana. At an elevation of 3,500 feet (1,060 meters) and bordered by Soup Creek, it spans 5 wooded acres. This campground offers 18 primitive sites, divided between 9 tent sites and 9 RV sites. The maximum length for trailers and RVs is 12 feet (3.6 meters), and large recreational vehicles cannot access the site. Each site is equipped with a wooden picnic table and a fire ring.
The campground is completely self-sufficient, with no water, electricity, or sewage services. Therefore, it is necessary to bring your own drinking water supplies. Vault toilets are available on-site, and dogs are allowed.
The active season runs from June 1 to October 30. A Montana state recreation use permit is required for overnight stays or hiking. No reservations are possible; the site operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Stays are limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive days. Please respect nature and leave no trace behind.
