Description
Deer Creek State Park Campground, in Heber, Utah, on the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir, in a mountain setting. The park has three campgrounds open from May 1 to October 15 (by reservation): Fox Den (50 amp hookups with water and sewer – full services), Chokecherry (50 A, 30 A, and tent sites), and Great Horned Owl (primitive camping, ideal for small RVs and trailers). A marina with boat ramps and courtesy docks, as well as a fish cleaning station, are on site. The reservoir is suitable for boating, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, and fishing; the nearby Lower Provo River offers kayaking and guided rafting. Reservation recommended.
