Description
Camping Horseshoe Lake, located by a small alpine lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, near Mount Adams, in the state of Washington. This small campground has 11 sites at about 4,100 feet elevation, open from mid-June to mid-September. There are pit toilets available, but no drinking water; the lake is suitable for fishing and non-motorized boating (electric motors only), and trails lead to the Mt. Adams Wilderness. Access is limited to recreational vehicles 16 feet and under, via a network of gravel forest roads from Randle (high clearance vehicle recommended). No dump station on site: self-contained units required. Fees are approximately $20 US per night (plus $8 for each additional vehicle).
