Le parc provincial Charlie Lac est un endroit idéal à visiter avant ou après les montagnes rocheuses du nord. Il propose une connexion Wi-Fi rapide et des douches payantes. Cependant, il est assez fréquenté et bruyant en raison de la proximité de l'autoroute 97. Le campement se trouve à 8 km au nord de la ville de Mc Petherson. Il est moins cher que les parcs nationaux, avec un tarif de 19 $ par tente. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas d'arbres dans le camp, il y a de l'herbe et du bois de chauffage.
