🏛️ Municipal Regulations — RV Parking in Rivière-Rouge
Verified on 16/08/2026
Rivière-Rouge's bylaw no. 2025-518, in force since October 20, 2025, bans all parking on a public road or in a lot adjoining municipal property between midnight and 7am, from November 15 to April 15. It also generally caps all street parking at 48 consecutive hours, except where already banned or limited -- a rule that de facto affects a street-parked RV, without being a provision specific to recreational vehicles. $100 to $150 fine, doubled for repeat offenses. No mention of the words "recreational vehicle," "trailer," "caravan," or "camping" appears in the bylaw. Regulations around recreational vehicles keep evolving in several Québec municipalities.
