🏛️ Municipal Regulations — RV Parking in Varennes
Verified on 16/08/2026
Overnight parking on any of Varennes's public roads is banned by default from December 1 to March 31 between 11pm and 7am, except on nights when the city publishes a "ban lift" before 5pm -- granted in practice most nights, unless a snow-removal operation is planned ($75 to $200 fine). A separate bylaw explicitly allows trailers, hitched tent-trailers, and motorized dwellings to park on residential streets from April 15 to November 1, for a maximum of 12 consecutive hours; elsewhere or out of season, they may only stop if attached to a vehicle, for a maximum of 120 minutes ($100 fine). A recreational-vehicle trip ends better when no ticket gets added to the bill. (Source: Ville de Varennes, bylaw RM-VAR-205)
